Nebula offer two forms of Online Backup for your business IT infrastructure – Simple Backup and Site Recovery.
Nebula Simple Backup manages cloud backups through familiar tools in Windows Server, Windows Server Essentials, or System Center Data Protection Manager
Nebula Site Recovery can help you protect important services by coordinating the automated replication and recovery of System Center private clouds at a secondary location. The ongoing asynchronous replication of each VM is provided by Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V Replica and is monitored and coordinated by Nebula Site Recovery. In the event of a site outage at the primary datacenter, VMs can be brought up in an orchestrated fashion to help restore service quickly. This process can also be used for testing recovery, or temporarily transferring services.

Reliable off-site data protection
Backups are encrypted before transmission and stored encrypted in Azure. These off-site backups are safely away from your datacenter and protected by reliable Azure storage, reducing the need to secure and protect on-site backup media.
Use familiar tools
Manage cloud backups from the familiar backup tools in Windows Server, Windows Server Essentials, or System Center Data Protection Manager. These tools provide similar experiences configuring, monitoring, and recovering backups whether to local disk or Azure storage. After data is backed up to the cloud, authorised users can easily recover backups to any server.
Efficient and flexible
With incremental backups, only changes to files are transferred to the cloud. This helps ensure efficient use of storage and reduced bandwidth consumption, while enabling point-in-time recovery of multiple versions. Configurable data retention policies, data compression, and data transfer throttling offer added flexibility and help boost efficiency.

You can further simplify your disaster recovery protection by replicating to Azure and still benefit from the simplicity, automation, customizable recovery plans, health monitoring, and orchestrated recovery the service provides. One of the primary roadblocks to comprehensive protection of applications is the expense of establishing and maintaining a secondary site for disaster recovery.
Continuous Health Monitoring
Site Recovery monitors the state of System Center Virtual Machine Manager clouds continuously and remotely from Azure. When replicating between two sites you control, only the Virtual Machine Manager servers communicate directly with Azure – your virtual machines data and replication remains on your networks. All communication with Azure is encrypted. When replicating to Azure as the secondary site, your data is encrypted and you can also select encryption for data at-rest.
The service helps automate the orderly recovery of services in the event of a site outage at the primary datacenter. Virtual machines can be brought up in an orchestrated fashion to help restore service quickly, even for complex multi-tier workloads. Recovery plans are simple to create through the Azure management portal, where they are stored. The plans can be as simple or as advanced as your business requirements demand, including the execution of custom Windows PowerShell scripts and pauses for manual interventions. Networks can also be customised by mapping virtual networks between the primary and recovery sites. These plans can be tested whenever you like without disrupting the services at your primary location.
